Welcome!

The mission of the GTFWC  is friendship, scholarship, and service. We hope that you will enjoy discovering the programs, community service projects and interest groups we offer. Membership is open to all who want to join us in supporting the Georgia Tech community.

In addition to the scheduled events listed in the directory, we will announce fun pop-up events on our Facebook page. There is so much to do in Atlanta, and it’s always more fun with friends.  To keep up to date on all our activities and club news, please become a member of our private Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/GTFWC/

Please consider making a donation to our scholarship fund. Last year your contributions allowed us to award five scholarships totaling $10,000 to students who have a parent employed at a Georgia Tech. This year we hope to increase the amount of scholarships we award.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our events this academic year.

Go Jackets!

Ohouse 2014

Once again it’s time to mark your calendars for Georgia Tech Faculty Women’s Club Open House on Wednesday Sep. 17. This is when you renew your ties with friends separated during the summer, welcome new members, and get prepared for a busy year of enriching experiences as we investigate what’s “New on the Horizon at GTFWC.”

This is your opportunity to sign up for our many club programs and our varied interest groups, including two book clubs, walking, needlework, bridge, French, Spanish, lunch bunch and the international dinner group. These groups are the best ways to make new friends who share your interests, so come, browse the displays manned by our great volunteers, and sign up.

It’s also an opportunity to enjoy the diversity of our club. You’ll meet mem-bers from too many countries to count, and hear many languages spoken. Loyal member GT First Lady Val Peterson will also join us to usher in the new year, and fine food will overflow.

There will be favors for all and a door prize drawing for newcomers. You can also pick up your Yearbook.

Thanks to Open House committee chair, Gador Manzano, and committee Linda Stewart, Susan Bucknall and Wanjiku Gachugi for bringing this event to fruition.
