Club Outreach Projects

Over its history, members of the GTFWC have generously supported a number of worthy causes, both in the Tech and Atlanta communities. We are a club with heart. An active Community Service Program has volunteered and helped with the Festival of Trees, Habitat for Humanity, The Atlanta Food Bank, My House (a home for children with special needs), The Atlanta Women’s and Children’s Day Shelter, Kids in Need, and others. Donations of both goods and cash have also been collected at the Spring Luncheon for My House and the Day Shelter.

We also collect toiletry items for several of these charities.  You may bring these items with you and drop them off at Open House and/or the Spring Luncheon.

Between 2006 and 2009, two of our talented members donated beautiful handmade quilts which were raffled and the proceeds deposited in the Scholarship Endowment Fund, supporting scholarships for GT students who are children of GT employees. Through generous donations of our members, the Scholarship Endowment Fund has reached over $100,000, enough to ensure $7500 in scholarships annually.  We continue to accept donations in order to grow the fund and appreciate your continued support.

The GTFWC is ready and able to help those in need in our communities.
